Rose Gold Must Haves
Yes, we totally caught you eyeing off that rose gold bangle, but what is it about rose gold that makes it so popular?
Leatrice Eiseman, a color expert and executive director of the Pantone Institute, the semi-deified experts on color, may be in the know. "There's a lot of research that goes into what color means," she says, "and how it makes a statement to most people." Rose gold has the same effect on almost everyone. "When we get to the rose family, we get these same kinds of verbiage: Compassion, composure, warmth, something that draws you in that has great appeal."
Then there's also the theory that its striking colour is easily paired with all skin tones, particularly those on the paler side of things (you're not alone hun). We found that this is pretty true, as yellow gold is often terribly contrasted against lighter skin (which is why we designed our gold watches to lean more on the champagne tones, but more on that another day).
